Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: (the name listed above is the attorney of the consumer: mr. mcchesney) and he experienced numerous problems with the vehicle. and one of the problem(s) are as followed: there is water in the oil system & the lower end of the engine leaked oil, the bore of the blocks are oversized (at .030-the max you can bore this block), there are score marks at the bottom of all bores, the pistons are loose in the bores-the block must be replaced, the rocker arms cannot lash the valves to proper settings, the engine over heated on several occasions/at slow speeds and caused the gaskets to blow, and the blown gaskets caused the water to leak into the oil system, damaging the rings and the engine bearings. also the cylinder heads were assembled with the lock washers on the head bolts, causing failure of the head gaskets when they broke, and the rear main seal was leaking along with the oil pan assembly. (upon the removal of the rear main cap, found that the main bearings are .010/oversized) *scc *dt |
