Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Century ovation model # 4665nsk01; new guidelines for car seats is that they must face the rear up to one year of age. most car seats accomodate this by allowing for infants up to 30 pounds. this car seat cannot face the rear past 22 pounds and so over 50% of babies using it prior to a year will exceed its limits for rear facing though it is advertised as good for infants from 5-40pounds. there is a window (as with our child) between 6 months of age and one year for which it is unsafe for 60% of male babies and over 40% of female babies. many parents may not be aware as we weren't. it should be recalled and redesigned. century was not helpful when called. i'm appalled that they would market such a car seat under the new guidelines. *ak
