Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: This fisher price safe embrace booster seat, model #79752 includes a plastic loop for the seat belt to thread through over the seat and protect against the belt strangling a child in an accident. this loop does not lock into place, therefore the seat belt can come out of it and could strangle a child. there is nothing to hold the seat belt in place and the more the belt is pulled, the looser the loop becomes. my daughter's seat belt has completely come out of the loop several times. i reported the problem to fisher price who picked up the seat and refunded my money but this is a serious flaw in the child safety seat and should be noted. the previous model (#79750) allowed for the loop to sufficiently close back up so this could not happen. this newer model does not, which i can not see is safer in any way. a child could potentially be strangled or receive neck damage by the seat belt because this new model does not sufficiently keep the belt in place as it should. i hope someone takes this seriously enough to get this particular model off the market. i can't believe a newer model could be produced with such a major flaw over the previous model. *ak |
