| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: For the last year, my parking brake has not worked at all. if engaged, it will release itself. i took the jeep to a mechanic and was told it was a ratchet assembly that was broken. i thought it was just a problem with my jeep. it was not until i started hearing of many other jeep owners having the same problem that i became convinced this is a manufacturer defect. i believe a full investigation should begin as i have heard of several people involved in accidents related to this defect. i believe there are many people that are not aware this type of investigation can be started by submitting reports such as this. i was unaware until recently. thank you for your concern. *ak |
