| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The drivers side air bag is defective. it has never been deployed, but it is broken and the dealer wants to charge $800 to fix it. if it has never been used, it should not be broken. the service emplyee of the dealership told me that he had the same problem with his car. how many incidents like this have to occur before a recall is considered. the first page of your web site state that: "if a safety-related defect exists in a motor vehicle or item of motor vehicle equipment, the manufacturer must fix it at no cost to the owner." is this not a safety-related defect? please advise. |
