Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The paint on the roof of my explorer is flacking off , there was small flacking when i purchased the explorer , but now there are large pieces coming off every time i wash the suv . i 've had the suv for 2.5 years . i've talked to the body shop mgr at john nolan ford . he said the paint should last for 3yrs or longer . i would think that my suv 's paint should last at least longer than 6 yrs. the paint is only peeling on the roof of the suv no where else. i would like to know whats the problem? no safety defect. *ak
