Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While changing my rear brakes last friday on my ford explorer i decided to check my spare tire which happens to be a firestone atx. to my surprise the tire had actually "blown-out" and seperated while in the spare tire rack under my vehicle. this tire has not been on my vehicle since july of 1999 when i purchased four new tires and put the best looking tire in the spare tire rack. i believe someone needs to look at this tire in the rack and document this before i reomve it. this backs up ford's claim that it is the tire, not the vehicle that is at fault. you can see i have not tampered with tis tire in anyway, there are no fresh marks on the spare tire system showing the tire has not moved in many months.
