Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Engine has a loud knocking noise since day one. reported problem to chevrolet dealership and was told that the pistons are "slapping" inside the cylinder walls and that this was a known problem from chevrolet. new pistons will not be available until december 2001. changed oil and found metal fragments in the oil that were stuck to the magnetic oil bolt. noise problem is getting louder each week. dealer rep called and explained the problem to me directly. *ak |
