Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: My subframe has not yet failed, but on the suzuki hayabusa .org website we (3000 members) have been following failures in the u.s. and around the world for the past two years. there have been many, causing the seat and rider to contact the rear wheel and crash. suzuki made the aluminum subframe assembly in 99 and 2000 and changed to steel for the 2001 and 2002 models. they will not issue a recall. the welds and porosity of the aluminum are faulty. engineering studies have been conducted in great brittan and confirm this. we are worried about our safety and our passengers safety. nlm
