Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Nhtsa issued a recall for grand voyager minivans manufactured between 07/1990 and 06/1993 to have the brake actuator piston assembly and the pump-motor assembly to be replaced for lifetime coverage. nhtsa issued the recall on 06/18/1996. the nhtsa campaign id number is 96v099000. i contacted chrysler on 4/23/2002 to discuss the recall. chrysler claims that that recall affected grand voyager vans produced before mine was produced and after mine was produced. i find this excuse absurd. my vehicle clearly has the same defective parts. my pump-motor continually runs and has an air leak so bad you can hear it. i did not learn about the recall until yesterday when some friends of mine informed me that chrysler replaced their pumps at no cost for having the same problems as mine. chrysler clearly installed defective brake parts in m y van.*ak
