Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: This is an intermittent problem that happens when the car is driven for at least 15 minutes and is brought to a full stop. when the gas pedal is depressed, the engine remains at idle from between 1 to 3 seconds and the car does not move. during this time frame, the foot remains depressing the gas pedal and not on the brake pedal. once the engine rpms do increase, the car will accelerate hard (jump). several instances have occurred were the car jumped into a busy intersection, nearly causing an accident each time. my children were in the car during those times. this problem was not only experience by myself, but with my wife and a friend (who used to perform safety tests for porsche) and both have driven the car. the car has been brought in several times for this specific problem but it could not be reproduced at that time and nothing done to it other than a software patch applied to the tiptronic control module (tcm). this did not fix the problem as it still exists.*ak
