| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: There is a defect in the side mirrors of the '92 ranger. they lose their ability to maintain position after approximately 2 years of use. i've gone through two sets of mirrors (both sides). my side mirrors "collapse" when i drive over 45 mph resulting in a very dangerous situation-i have no rear visibility to the sides. i have difficulty changing lanes. i've spoken to the local ford service department and was told that this is a common problem and my best option would be to buy aftermarket mirrors (not ford/motorcraft), unfortunately i have not been able to find compatible aftermarket mirrors. this has been a nagging problem for me as it appears it has been for others. *ak |
