Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Occasionally when applying the brakes, the brakes lock up and the car begins to slide. this started a few months after buying the car -- it was returned to the dealer -- this has happened over and over again-- examples: braking suddenly on rough road ("the washboard effect"), braking on wet pavement while driving slowly through a mall parking lot - braking after leaving a car wash -- braking at a stop sign, braking suddenly anytime -- naturally this is very scary -- i do not want anyone (husband, children) to drive the car except myself as i have become attuned to the problem and am constantly aware that it might happen -- i have repeatedly taken the car to the dealer (i have the forms) my husband also had a meeting with the owner, john skinner -- they adjust the brakes and then tell me that i will just have to live with the problem - -i am aware of others who have had this same problem -- i was wondering if a recall might be a possiblity -- we have kept all the records where we have taken the car back repeatedly with this same problem-- the last time i went, they actually charged me to adjust the brakes (although this really doesn't help -- within a few days it had happened again) --i was told that cadillac was aware of this problem and it had been fixed on the newer models of escalades- now my original dealer has sold the cadillac part of his dealership and i am going to have to deal with a new owner -- i would appreciate any help or feedback you could give me on this matter. i live out on a lake and have to drive my child into school and activities several times a day and purchased the car to be a safe mode of transportation for us. thank you.*ak
