Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I am an otr truck driver and i am very aware of problems with all vehicles that i drive. i came back to my work terminal and noticed a very strong smell of gasoline coming from my truck. i looked under it and saw that the rear fuel tank was leaking quite obviously from the seam. i contacted my local dealership and asked if there was a recall on the fuel tank, he said no. i then was told to contact ford and i asked if they had a recall on this vehicle and they said that the vehicle had been through a recall fix back in 1993. i hardly think that a fuel tank that was repaired would start leaking 6 years later, especially from the seam on the tank. i was told that my bumper to bumper warranty was up and that ford would not take care of my problem. dear sirs, i have two children and a wife who depend on me to provide the best care and protection. how can i protect my family from companies that don't care about anyone and only care about their pocketbook. *ak |
