Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: There is a recall on the wiper motor electronic board for some chevrolet wiper motors. i have contacted several dealers and parts distributors to find that the part number of the recall is the same as the number that my vehicle has, yet my vehicle is not covered. i have found many reports from owners with the same vehicle having the same problem. i'm sure that my incident where the wipers quit in the middle of a rain storm while traveling 55 mph was just as hair-raising as the rest. yet it would seem that no one would take care of this issue. this problem has been known for more that 4 years. this is an extremely dangerous situation and i would like to know why nothing has been done. with the number of incidents reported, the same part numbers involved, and the same intermittent failure descriptions, i am tired of hearing the same answer - "there is nothing we can do".*ak |
