Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Problems with brake master cylinder.*mr the consumer stated there was a poor design or ineffective manufacturing regarding the brake master cylinder in the porsche 911 and 912 from the year 1968 through 1976 and possibly 1977. the consumer who is a mechanic installed the part on a 1968 porsche 912 targa ad after five days a pool of brake fluid formed under the vehicle, the source of the seepage was then found to be from an expansion plug on top of the casting, further inspection revealed the plug did not leak under pressure, but only seeped at rest which caused a slow reduction in the level of the relatively small brake fluid reservoir. *jb |
