| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The splines on the final drive gear and final drive flange were completely dry and rusted. *mr honda failed to lubricate the final drive splines, due to their lack of mentioning of the critical maintenance in the manual. the consumer found the problem as the tires were being changed. upon removal, the rear wheel splines on the final drive gear/final flange were completely rusted and showed severe wear. the service department determined that the excessive wear was due to a lack of maintenance. the consumer requested a replacement of the worn parts.
