Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We have had an ongoing problem with the fuel filler "neck" on this vehicle. when you fill the vehicle up with fuel, once it is almost full, the gasoline tank "belches" (for lack of a better term) and fuel is expelled from the tank all over the person filling the vehicle (unless you stand appx. 2' away from the gas pump nozzle). we have talked to owner's of similar vehicles (this is a full size chevy conversion van) and all of them have the same problem. this is a very dangerous problem. fuel literally erupting from the filler nozzle can easily spray anyone standing nearby and can cause caustic burns to human flesh. please investigate this serious problem!! both chevrolet & gmc manufactured this vehicle from 1971 - 1996 and most, if not all, probably have the same problem. thank you! *ak |
