Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1994 plymouth voyager transmission failure: this vehicle is garage kept with low-average mileage. in speaking to various other auto groups, mechanics, dealers, apparently this is a common problem in chrysler based minivans. i believe this to be a design defect. specifically the seals in the clutch. apparently, they are designed with very thin sidewalls which degrade quickly, fail, and cause the transmission clutch to lose pressure. chrysler refuses to offer any assistance. a note to the mfg (chrysler): transmissions are not supposed to fail at 59k. i was treated with total disregard when i called the customer center. this is the first & last chrysler product i will purchase. *ak |
