| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: In january, 2000 and now today, march 6, the socket connecting the power to the head lamp bulbs have both failed. the left one failed in january and the right one failed today. in both cases, the ground terminal of the socket seems to be corroded and the plastic in that area of the socket is slightly melted. as neither high os low beams would work, a bad ground connection would make sense. replacing the socket with a new one fixed the problem in boyh cases. i have one of the old sockets if you would like to see it. *ak |
