| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The tire tread came apart and caused us to have a blowout on the freeway. we paid to have the tire replaced at a firestone dealer because the gm dealer told us it was a defective tire. the firestone dealer confirmed that there was no indication that we had run over any road hazards to cause the tire to come apart. we are trying to get gm to replace the tires with another brand since this is a brand new car. in light of recent news reports about these firestone tires, we are not comfortable driving with our family on these tires. we feel fortunate that we were able to get to the side of the road without having an accident and we don't want it to happen again. *ak( dot number: tire size: p265\70ri6 ) |
