Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Vehicle developed loud squeaking noise from front left area. dealer diagnosed problem as left inner tie rod making noise due to lack of lubrication. need to remove tie rod boot, clean and lube inner tie rod. if service is not performed, tie rod and steering failure could occur. dealer refused to perform service under warranty because more than 36 months have expired since vehicle was purchased. factory customer service also refused to authorize service under "good will" warranty. since there is no provision for lubrication of this assembly by the owner and it is supposed to be lubricated for life by the factory, i feel it is the manufacturer's responsibility to correct the problem. this problem could be a safety hazzard. i have determined that other owners of similar vehicles have experioenced the same problem. *ak
