| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I experienced an abnormal sidewall blow-out on a tire with less then 10,000 miles on it. the blow out caused damage to the rim and hub of the wheel. i am greatly concerned that i may have the same experience soon with the other four tires. i contacted general tires and they want me to sent the tire back east and wait to get something done. the now tire, rim and hub cap cost me 325.00 out of my own pocket and i am going to have to wait to get it from detroit on special order. i would like the dot to inspect the tire prior to releasing it back to general to determine if a recall should be established. like i stated in the beginning of this section the sidewall blow out was very abnormal.( dot number: tire size: 17 ) |
