Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was watering my lawn on sun. aug 6..temp outside was approx. 78 degrees..inside temp of my truck was approx. 85 degrees ( windows down). the water from the hose sprayed my windshield for approx. 5 seconds, when all of a sudden i heard a crack. my windshield cracked at eye level from the drivers side, then proceeded to the top of the windshield in the centre, then back down on the passenger side ( total crack approx. 2 -3 feet in length). the windshield had no visible cracks or fractures to attribute to this problem. i did notice in your reports from others..someone report a windshiel defect on july 6/00. two chrylser dealerships says it happens due to sudden temp. changes..i am not satisfied with this answer or the possiblilty of it happening to a replacement windshield ?? |
