| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Two firestone steeltex lt 245/75r16 tires suffered tread separation while traveling between new orleans la and carson city nv last may. the first tire failed just outside gila bend az and suffered complete tread separation and came off the vehicle (no accident and only minor damage to electrical wiring under vehicle) . the second tire failed just outside of tonopah nv with approx. 1/4 of the tread seperating (no accident ,no damage). these were origional equipment tires. they do not have a dot code but are identified as "made in canada - 23561ur bm 05326-1". all five original tires had the same numbers except for the last two digits of the first numeric group.( dot number: none tire size: 245/75r16 ) |
