Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I purchased this van in feruary 1997. it had 40,683 miles on it. the van developed a severe vibration in the drive train on acceleratiion from a stop and when accelerating at speed with passing gear and without passing gear. the transmission case was replaced once (broken case), replaced once and is now in shop for replacement again. this vehicle will lock up in lower gears when accelerating making for dangerous operation. dealers admit there is a problem with this transmission and i have confirmed this problem from many other people and tsbs. this defect should be a recall condition on all vans with this problem. i also feel this problem(vibration) has caused premature damage to the main bearings and consequent internal engine damage. internal damage to the engine
