| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tread separated from steel belts, and pounded on body of truck, causing $1400 in body damage, then ripped away, leaving only a bare steel belt, which still held air pressure. reported to firestone dealer, who told me that they had no responsibility for 1995 tires because tires should be thrown out and replaced after 4 years, due to uv damage from the sun; he also told me that i had too much air in the tire. i replaced that and another firestone tire (also vintage 1995) at sears at my own expense ($144 more). *ak( dot number: tire size: p195 75r14 ) |
