Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Overheating reported; original dealer replaced relay switch; upon request to examine head gasket problem, confirmed no problem. second dealership examined car and said head gasket was blown -- $2000 repair. same dealer advised pattern of head gasket problems in these models. original dealer subsequently examined vehicle and denied problem. after further driving, problem recurred only now confirming head gasket. cost of repair exceeds book value of vehicle, but one dealer already acknowledged pattern of problem. it seems, therefore, manufacturer should be responsible. decision to repair must be immediate because of cost. *ak
