| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have had ongoing tire problems since this truck was new. i have had casing separations in four of the six tires installed on the dual wheel truck, both front and rear. i have contacted ford customer service numerous times. i have been to two local dealerships. i have also made numerous calls to general tire customer service and i talked to five separate representatives. all to no avail. one ford dealership told me they were "not in the tire business" -- "have a nice day" -- "good bye". another ford dealership has been waiting for three weeks for an eamil from "corporate headquarters". i believe that they are hoping i will just give up or crash and burn -- whichever come first. general tire has agreed to give me a small credit toward the purchase of replacement tires or replace them with the same general tire junk that i have now. neigher of which is satisfactory or fair. someone is going to be hurt by their failure to respond to this problem or even take the time to question me as to when, where, or how my tire failures have occurred. your timely response would be greatly appreciated as this is a very widely used tire and i believe is a very dangerous problem to the public. thank your for your time and consideration. i will be happy to answer any questions you may have at your convenience.*ak (dot number: ador1jc279 tiresize: 235x85x16) |
