| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: There were 4 separate occasions of blowouts all in the rear tires. luckily the rear contains dual axle, so we able to maneuver safely off the road. each tire blowout was termed tread separation. the first two were covered by a tire road hazard contract, but upon the thrid and fourth blowout in a 3 month period, i was directed to go directly to firestone. they did replace the blown tires with the same new tire, but there is obviously a problem with the mfg. of the tire, and i have since replaced all of the tires with michelin, since my wife and children would not ride in the rv until i did so. i have attempted to contact firestone since the beginning of august, and have only received form letters, emails if any response at all. i have contacted ford, and they have indicated that firestone would have to address this. i am sending the body of a letter under separate email for more information. *ak (tiresize: lt225-75-1)( dot number: tire size: lt225-75-1 ) |
