Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have had my last two rear tires fail the same way and both were replaced by me with only about 60% of the tire used. they both developed a small seperation between the tread at around 5000 miles and grew as time went on to about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in length. i didn't think much of it the first time so i threw out the tire, but when it happened a second time i kept the tire and contacted dunlop. i still have the tire. their response without looking at the tire was that it appears to be road hazard related. i don't believe it because i have seen other friends that ride the same type motorcycle experience the same split. i talked with dunlop rep. colleen larkin @ 800-847-3382. feel free to contact her or i for more information. she has agreed to replace the tire at no cost to me, after some whining from a 20 year customer. but i still feel there is a manufacturing problem with this tire. have you received other complaints about this?*ak (dot number: da42 tiresize: 160/80b16) |
