| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tsb # 790 was for the left fuel injection rail leaking (cracked). my right rail is leaking!!! i called chrysler @ 1-800 992-1997 and tried to report this. they informed me that the recall in january, 1999 only affected the left fuel injection rail. i could have had a fire as the gasoline was leaking (in volume) on the top of my engine and running down the engine block onto the ground. i think chrysler needs to be aware of this potential problem. i attempted to inform them of this today and i was told me to go to a dealer. i do my own car repair work and know a little about vehicles. i also know something about product safety as i am the product safety officer where i am employed. i have detailed digitial photos of the rail while it is leaking. they are good pictures. these pictures are worth more than 1000 words!!! if you want the pictures, please advise.*ak |
