Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: After detecting a significant fuel leak on my vehicle, i consulted nhtsa's website. as this was an unexpected/unusual occurrence, i suspected a recall may be in effect. i confirmed campaign #94v106000 is in effect for ~230,000 units, and that the problem i was experiencing was consistent with the recall. i contacted chrysler national service ~17 nov and received advice to present it to dealer for repair and inclusion under recall. following scheduled appoinment and repairs for a safety item, follow-up with chrysler for reimbursement has been unsuccessful. chrysler maintains that my vehicle is not affected, despite consistency with other similarly affected vehicles. request reimbursement for $162.60 for this safety item -- fuel leak near ignition source (exhaust system) was not an optional repair, and chrysler should honor inclusion for this fairly negligible amount. *ak |
