| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: After the car spun out in a snow storm, a transmission line connection failed. the car was driven until it would not move. i am assuming the transmission oil was depleted. the driver complained of jerking, etc. and having to rev the engine quite a lot to get the car moving. the transmission would grab and slip, etc. the dealer now states that other than the replacement of the line fitting and transmission lfuids, there could not have been further damage. however, the transmission continues to slip and grab at low speed from a stop and slips when using passing gear. what damage could have been incurred by running the transmission dry over a ten mile drive. i am following up on thi for my mother in law who is currently hospitalized. thank you. |
