Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The driver's side door hinges are corroding and the door is separating from the body. the body shop at my dealer says the problem is known with this year and model and a tsb has been issued by jeep. he says the situation is dangerous since the door is liable to separate from the body at some point. despite the potential danger jeep has not acted on my claim for over six weeks and not replied to the dealer concerning shared liability to repair the defect. this apparently occurs only on the drivers door hinges of 94" jeep cherokees and always starts with the uppr hinge and of course results in eventual failure of the bottom hinge and then the entire driver's side door. it appears to be a faulty weld during manufacture. i am concerned the door will come off and am anxcious to get a repair in progress but, my dealer awaits word from chysler daimler before committing to action. i have emailed chrysler-daimler. they report my dealer is discussing the issue with me. a circular solution that allows the situation to go on. do you have a record of this defect and potential injury estimates? why don't they process a potential danger claim more expeditiously. thank you. *ak
