Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: At around 45,000 miles, the abs light went on during travel. i went to a brake shop and they informed me of a problem with s-10 brakes. i called the dealer where i purchased the truck and they said there was no recall yet. they did tell me there was a problem with s-10 braking systems and i should wait until i receive a letter. i used the internet to check and see if there was recall on my truck. the information i read was the final letters would be sent in dec. 2000. as of now, i have not received anything. i called the dealed and they gave me a price of $350.00 to fix the problem. i do know there is a abs problem with 2,400,000 trucks. how do i find out if my truck is part of the recall. the truck stops fine, except in wet weather. if the road is wet, the brakes lock up.*ak
