| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: When cruise control is activated, it does not always turn off when the brakes are applied or cancel switch is pushed. if i have cruise set at 65 and approach and intersection or object in the road or lower speed zone, and apply the brakes but then press the accelerator to continue at a lower speed (45), the accelerator will go down on its own and the van will accelerate on its own till it hits the 65 mph that was originally set on the cruise. this occured 3 out of the last 5 times the cruise control was used. i had to quicly apply brakes again when i noticed this happening to avoid child in road and the back passenger was injured slightly on the head when this happened. the problem was reported to nissan who replied that it may not be on warranty, but when taken to the dealer and discussed, i had to pay the 50 dollar copay on a 54 dollar repair. i have not tried to use the cruise contol since being serviced.*ak |
