| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I first noticed this problem as a clicking noise when the driver's side door was opened. while having my jeep serviced one day, i asked at the garage what was happening and they told me that the hinge on the driver's side door was tearing loose from the car body. because it was a hinge weld, they daid that they couldn't repair it. i inquired at a body shop, and they said that the repair would cost 400 dollars. i later found on an internet site discussing safety reacalls and issues about car problems that many 1995 jeep cherokee owners were having the same problem and that doors had actually fallen off and in one case both doors were affected. i contacted dainler chrysler twice, even writing to schramm. i was basically told too bad, the car is out of warranty and they would do nothing about it. i believe this is a safety issue and should be addressed. thanks for your help.*ak |
