Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Unit has had carbon monoxide leak since new. exhaust odor evident throughout unit when generator is in operation. repairs were attempted by local dealer and at the factory. fleetwood records will show failed co tests multiple times, (either 4 or 5). after spending 6 weeks in the factory shop for warranty repairs, we drove this unit back home (1200 miles) and my wife had to go to the hospital with carbon monoxide poisioning symptoms. this was after fleetwood "repaired" the problem. also, the windshield washers have not worked since the unit was 2 months old. both the local dealer and fleetwood factory have attempted repairs. most recent repair lasted 3 hours. we are unable to remove mud/road grime from windshield while driving, making it unsafe to drive. also, the electric steps for entrance/egress from the unit have failed again. fleetwood "repaired" them on december 22, 2000, and they do not work. failure of the steps could result in a fall and injury.*ak |
