Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We have had three separate incidents when either climbing a mountain or driving through hot dessert conditions that our minivan would suddenly stop! the aaa worker told us that he sees this "all the time" and has to do "weak fuel pumps" in minivans that fail when stressed! our last incident was dangerous occurring on hwy 40 to be repeatedly stuck with high speed trucks passing by us. our nissan dealer checked his record (a few months back)and confirmed that nissan was aware of this problem but said that it would cost us >$700 to fix to change the fule pump. the latest nissan recall of the fuel hose may also have something to do with this issue. well we found out the hard way in the hot dessert since this problem does not surface driving in the "cooler" los angeles area.*ak |
