| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 3 out of 4 of these tires have had high speed tread separation followed by blowouts and vehicle damage. after the first failure, michilin directed me to have one of their dealers inspect the tire(s). the dealer's letter indicated that the "tires are defective" and that they were properly maintained, had correct pressures, etc. at this point i am out over $1000 not including the insurance company's $3500 loss for vehicle damages. after sending the failed tires to michlin, michlin offered to pay my out of pocket expenses provided i did not disclose details of the failures, provided i did not tell anyone that they had paid me, provided i would not let the insurance company subrogate the loss on my behalf. what should i do at this point. i still have the intact 4th tire. *ak (dot number: bf11aku088 tiresize: lt245/75r) |
