| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Not a safety defect that i am complaining about, but a cosmetic i guess you would say. we purchased the minivan in nov 99, by aug of 2000 we noticed cracks on the roof - the paint of the vehicle's roof is now totally peeled off and rusty the hood is cracking too. since aug 2000 we have been trying to find out how to go about having the paint repaired. we have gotten the run around from then until now. the vehicle is now out of warranty range so that is now the reason nissan claims that they cannot re-paint it. several body shops have stated and written that the van does not have primer under the paint which is why it is peeling the way it is. it is certainly not fair to any consumer regardless of what the mileage on a vehicle is that a vehicle bought new and is less than 4 yrs old needs to be repainted because of a manufacturer's defect! |
