Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Consumer noticed a foul odor coming from the air conditioner, consumer attributed this to the vehicle being new and thought it would go away, however it has not, consumer states he has never had any type of respiratory ailment until now, he has had bronchitis, upper respiratory infection, rhinitis, sinusitis, chronic cough, sore throat, and headache, consumer became aware of bulletin 99-01-39-004 which states that an odor may be the result of microbial growth on the evaporator core, when the blower motor fan is turned on, the microbial growth may release an unpleasant, musty odor into the passenger compartment, this bulletin does not cover his vehicle year, consumer is requesting repairs be made on his vehicle at no cost to him. *slc |
