| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My goodyear eagle ls tires (original tires) failed to pass the state inspection at 16, 284 miles. the buick dealership & discount tire both confirmed that the tread measured lower than accepted standards at 2/32 on the front tires and just barely passed at 4/32 on the back. both confirmed it was even wear not caused by bad alignment. i could not believe my tires had gotten to the point of being unsafe on a new car with only 16,284 miles on it. i feel the goodyear tires gm used that year were not good and i feel this should be investigated on other cars from that time period. i was furious i had to spend $400 to purchase four new tires when i'd rotated these and did everything that was required of me. i'm just thankful for the state inspections that brought this to my attention and possibly saved me from an accident from a blow out. i would like to think i had some recourse for this unnecessary expense but doubt that i will. thank you for your interest in public safety.*ak (tiresize: p225/60r16)( dot number: tire size: p225/60r16 ) |
