Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The following note was sent to chevy product support through their web site. the vehicle is a 1993 blazer, vin [xxx] - i recently had the electronic emission control valve (egr(?) fail in the open position, causing the vehicle to stall. i was not able to restart the engine. fortunately, i wasn't in traffic and could safely have the truck towed to my mechanic who replaced the defective valve. is the replacement of this part covered by a warranty or out of warranty special service arrangement? have the safety issues been addressed by a redesign of the valve or emission control system for this vehicle? this is very similar to the condition reported as odi id: 736343 & 736345.*ak information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr |
