| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: S/n on tire m3ulbf7x4000, entire side wall failed causing a blowout. i was driving 65 mph with no weight in the truck. tires were purchased on 12/13/2000 and only had about 2000 miles. several layers of rubber separated allowing for one side of the tire to be completely seperated (you could put your hand inside the tire and run it all the way around). the broken rubber did not smell burned. i returned the tire to sam's club in vernon hills, il for replacement, they replaced the defective tire, but refused to replace the other tire. they assured me that this was an isolated incident and that michelin would fully investigate the cause of the failure.*ak (dot number: ? tiresize: lt23575r15) |
