| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The seat belt anchors (both driver, and passenger side) has been damaged, due to re-occuring rust problem (where they attach to the vehicle) which mfgr repaired once, but refuses to once again, stating the rust is a cosmetic condition. i was instructed to obtain an estimate for repair, however when i submitted several (per reps. request, the claim was denied., now that one mount has become completely unattached from the vehicle, the compant states they wont repair the failure as the vehicle is now 1 year out of its corossion warranty). i have complained about the rust/ safety issue since the vehicle was new! there are a limited number of these vehicles in north america, however, every vehicle has the issue of major rust in the lower door sill area where the seat belt anchor is located! additionally, the fuel tank on this vehicle has rusted through, and is now leaking. the tank in this vehicle, is the same part (and part number) installed in the 1987-1992 land rover- range rovers which was recalled in 1995-1996 by the ntsha |
