| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Steering column locked while in motion (low speed) in a parking lot. dic readout said "remove key wait 10 seconds". i did--no effect. steering wheel would not unlock...car has been towed to dealer for warranty service. imagine if i'd been on the highway and this happened. ihave since talked to other c5 corvette owners and searched the internet for this problem--it has been ongoing for over 5 years yet no resolution or even acknowledgement from gm has been reported. service techs report this as a "common" problem.*ak ref. in ea02-031 *cjs |
