Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Some of your question may be unreated to my problem, i am complaing about a defective bottom tennsion pulley that control the power stearing and all of the vehicle. when this quite it was like driving a duce and a 1/2 that does not have power stearing, very wide turn. came to rest before overheading in e. falmouth mass. was towed off a friend lawn at 9 pm sunday. the whole thing occured at noon on sunday, a neighbor to my frieend came to my aid with his cell phone, i called my motor club and there could not help. around 7 pm i found some one that could tow it to my machinic - auto tech in sandwich, mass who did the repairing as it would have cost double to take it to tanner ford in s. easton. as it was it cost $80 for the tow(cash) and i seldom have that much laying around. repairs were $387. which is reported under property damage in your form. i am reporting this because had i been on the interstate heading for nh or some where else, i could still be there today waiting for help. the tennison pully snapped right off, rendering fanbelt useless, and distroying a new belt that had just been put in the van in april on the require manitance at 60,000/61,000. i spent a lot then, and now to have $387 + 80 = $467 hurts. i think i should get some help from somewhere for the flaw of the tennsion unit. auto tech in sandwich 508-833-0888, as for larry he'll tell you what he did. you know this could have been a bigger disaster had i been traveling at 65, am happy i was just coming out of a side street onto and other street and it was not busy, when the thing made a big snap. i thought at first it was a fanbelt had become loose and need to be re-enstalled, till i got under and found a much worse problem. thank you for a chance to spout off as i thisk tis is very dangerous problem nd should be looked into all all ford trucks, especial e150's. your truly carl g. rideout ps: on the 3 belt and 2 belt and motor belt am not sure what you mean. *ak
