Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: This complaint concerns the sagem fuel injection system on the triumph tt600 motorcycle. the engine has stalled on me on four or five occasions when braking from 30 or so miles per hour, when i have disengaged the clutch. in addition the engine has stalled on me once while sitting at lights in neutral. in addition the fuel injection at 2,500 to 3,500 rpm is very jerky - if you hold a constant throttle at these rpms in the 1st or 2nd gears motorcycle lurches badly enough to make it unsafe to ride at that rpm. the combination of lurching at low rpm in low gears, and occasional stalling is, in my opinion, a safety issue. in some circumstances (i.e. when cornering or turning in front of oncoming traffic) a stall or jerky throttle response could be fatal to the rider. triumph u.k. has acknowledged that there are fuel injection problems with the 2000 tt600, and has released multiple engine cpu updates to counter the problem but none have so far been completely successful. other tuning to the motorcycle by triumph service staff has minimal impact (according to many owners). i would like to see triumph pressured to find a fuel injection mapping that fixes this problem once and for all or offers to perform free updates to 2000 tt600s to bring them to the same specification as 2001 tt600s (which reportedly are much better in this area).*ak
